QUESTIONS BEFORE WE START

Technical FAQ

Do you work with customer-owned strains?

Yes. BIOVITA LAB specializes in supporting companies with proprietary or customer-owned probiotic strains. We work with clients who have their own microbial assets and need support in strain evaluation, process optimization and scale-up development. Customer-owned strains remain the property of the client throughout the collaboration.

Can you work with novel or challenging probiotic strains?

BIOVITA LAB has experience in developing customized processes for different probiotic strains, including strains with challenging cultivation, stability or scale-up requirements.

What challenges can BIOVITA help solve?

We support clients facing low fermentation yield, poor viability after processing, high drying loss, poor storage stability, scale-up difficulties and batch inconsistency.

Can you support scale-up and commercial manufacturing?

BIOVITA LAB provides support from laboratory-scale development to pilot validation and commercial manufacturing transfer. Our workflow covers laboratory evaluation, process optimization, pilot validation and commercial production support.

How do you protect confidential information and intellectual property?

Before technical collaboration begins, both parties can establish an NDA to protect strain information, technical data, process parameters and business information. Customer-owned strains remain the property of the client, and project ownership terms are clearly defined before cooperation.

What information do you need before starting a project?

We typically request strain information, any current cultivation or production process, current challenges and expected performance requirements. After initial evaluation, we provide a customized development proposal.
